Facebook is denying my 1^st Amendment right to use the word “douchebag.”

Hey Trump! Keep Your Hands Off My Hope and Joy!

I can’t publish a boosted post with this picture and the caption: Keep your hands off my Hope and Joy, Donald Trump! It links to the url: douchebagwisdom.com. BUT, Facebook says it contains “foul language.” Requests for clarification have met with “Your boosted post is approved,” yet when I click in to my Analytics, it says the boosted post was “not approved” due to “foul language.” That’s censorship! What about Freedom of Speech?!

What’s the foul word, Facebook? Hope? As in “How could anyone be hopeful in these dark times of Trump?!” Or is douchebag the “foul” word? Personally, I think “Donald Trump” is the foulest of that trio. But why are YOU TOO censoring language?! Why are you banning my language while allowing Russians to use you as a TOOL to say the most ridiculous made up crap to influence my vote?!

Why are you taking my voice away as I fight Trump’s assault on 1^st Amendment rights? Trump has banned the CDC’s use of these particular words: fetus, vulnerability, entitlements, transgender, science-based evidence, fact-based evidence, AND that terrible word diversity. No joke. Authoritarian douchebag move.

If you, Facebook, take away my right to call Donald Trump a douchebag when he’s clearly earned the title, you, too, have become one—a douchebag—and an accomplice to Trump’s assault on our freedom of speech.

Foul language? Not! Doesn’t pass the George Carlin TV censorship test.

My 12 Days of Christmas have become my New Year’s Resolutions for 2018. How about you? Now that the holiday hoopla has come and gone, what resolutions did you make, and what are you going to do this year to make a difference?

Trump and the GOP continue to inspire me to fight against pretty-much everything they stand for and are doing. Trump is back out on tour, in PA today, trying to convince us all our life is so much better now that America is great again. “It’s the economy, Stupid” he said today, ironically quoting a Bill Clinton, Democratic campaign talking point. It’s not better for me. I’m hopeful, but not yet. Some companies are awarding bonuses, others are laying off thousands. Walmart is doing both, raising the minimum wage to $11/hr and giving out $1000 bonuses to employees who have been earning low-wages with them for 20 years AND closing 63 Sam’s Club stores, laying off 10,000+ people. That’s what Walmart is doing with their gift from Trump. #goptaxscam #trickledowndoesntwork unless you count the people who just got pissed on. #boycottwalmart

I don’t begrudge all the people making money on the economy. My money is not in the stock market and my 401K is long drained, so their good fortune is not mine. But I do begrudge the #goptaxscam that has money going straight from my pocket to the pockets of the filthy rich. Read my last blog. Trump is buying the next election. He’s banking that money can assuage your morality. If you’re rich enough, you won’t say anything when he and Republicans throw people out of the country and shit all over First Amendment rights.

Now that the holidays are over, and we’re fully into the swing of a new year, I will not become complacent. We don’t have the luxury of sliding slowly into a new year! We must pick a cause, and every day, get up and do something for it.

What’s your cause? The environment? Pissed that you’ll now have to pay $80/car to get into a National Park? Pissed that oil spilled on Native American lands—just as predicted?! Or are you pissed that women will no longer have access to contraception and birth control? Or that discrimination against our LGBTQ community is on the rise?

Get up. Do something. No time to be mad or sad. It’s not too late to make a New Year’s Resolution! Channel your energy into productive action and make 2018 your best yet.
